  • Designer: This role is for team members who need to design, create, edit, and share dashboards.
  • Data designer: These permissions allow data designers to create and share ElastiCubes (an analytics database that Sisense uses), within Sisense’s platform.
  • Viewer: Viewers can only view and explore dashboards they have been given permission to. They cannot edit data or dashboards.
  • Each role has default settings. However, they can be modified to suit your company’s needs.

Tableau gives you more options for data governance. There are three types of data governance options available to organizations: centralized, delegated, and self-regulating. You can also create your own data governance model within Tableau to make it completely customized.
